Well it’s been a long time since I’ve made an entry here. My life’s focus has shifted many times and I’ve strayed far away from Ubuntu, and use my MacPro. It’s little more than a browser machine these days.
I’ve had a lot of near misses (health scares) in the recent past. Twice being diagnosed with a condition that would end my life pretty soon. Miraculously, neither came to pass, and were either misdiagnosed, or cured by an act of God. I even made my goodbyes to family and highly regarded friends and acquaintances, only to be alienated by a couple of them when it became a false alarm. It was quite embarrassing for me, but it is, what it is. Lesson learned. Don’t share devastating news outside of the family.
Retirement and health have taken a front seat in everything I (we) do now. Most days are filled with medical appointments and trying to figure out how to pay the bills each month.i Fixed income seriously limits enjoyment of life.
I did get a new iPad Air (M3) recently. Nifty device! Most browsing is now done with the iPad due to portability and ease of use. It lends itself well to browsing from a hospital bed, and makes a nice small-screen television.
I’ve recently purchased a couple of Airbrushes. I got an Iwata Eclipse HP-CS, and a GS Creos PS-290, and of course the requisite compressor and other accessories. I haven’t had much time to use them beyond a few practice sessions (due to an unexpected and unwanted house guest). However airbrushing and DIY home upgrades are my interest these days. Hopefully I’ll soon be able to enjoy more in those areas. I just need to get rid of the freeloading house guest.
That’s it for now.
