I’m still rocking my MacPro 5,1 and most things are now on one of my 4 NVME SSD devices. Also, I’ve updated to MacOS Monterey by using OpenCore to load it.
I now have the native Apple boot-picker working with nearly any GPU, by upgrading my Mac firmware with EnableGOP injected (Thanks Alex, for reconstructing/updating my ROM files).
I’m happy to report, it feels even faster with Monterey, than it did with Mojave (which was rock solid for me). My only disappointment is that CCC (CarbonCopyCloner) is no longer able to make a bootable-backup with my configuration. It’s a Small loss, but a loss nonetheless.
I’m considering upgrading some of my equipment to M4 models (iPad-Pro / Mac Studio). This would probably happen in the last quarter of the year if I’m able. I’ll post more about that down the road.
That’s it for now…
